How to Find Your Ring Size

Not sure which ring size to choose? Below are several ways to determine your ring size as accurately as possible.

1. Measure a Ring That Fits You Well

If you already own a ring that fits the intended finger perfectly, this is one of the most accurate methods.

Place the ring on a ruler and measure its inside diameter — the distance from one inner edge of the ring to the opposite inner edge. For the most accurate result, use a digital caliper if possible. Measure carefully several times from different directions, always through the exact center of the ring.

Based on the measured inside diameter, you can determine your ring size.

If your measurement falls between two sizes, we recommend choosing the closest size.

Important: Measure the ring from the inside edge to the inside edge. The outside diameter will not provide the correct ring size.

2. Use Our Printable Ring Size Guide

For an easy way to determine your size, you can download and print our printable ring size guide. Follow the included instructions to place or wrap the measuring strip around your finger.

Important Printing Instructions

For accurate results, print the guide:

• at actual size,

• at 100% scale,

• without selecting “Fit to Page” or “Scale to Fit”.

Check the scale with a ruler to make sure each division measures 1 mm. For example, size 60 should measure exactly 60 mm from the starting line. If it does not, the guide was not printed at the correct scale and the measurement will not be accurate.

3. Use Ring Sizing Rings

If you have access to a ring sizing set, this is another highly accurate way to determine your ring size.

Try the sizing ring on the finger where you will wear the ring. It should slide over the knuckle with slight resistance, but it should not feel too tight or too loose.

If you are choosing a size for a wider ring band, you may need to select a slightly larger size than you would for a very thin band.

4. Have Your Ring Size Measured by a Jeweler

If you want the most accurate measurement possible, we recommend visiting a professional jeweler. They can measure your ring size using precision sizing rings.

5. Measure with a Strip of Paper or a String

This method is simple but should be used only as a rough estimate. For a more accurate result, we recommend using our printable ring size guide or measuring a ring that already fits you well.

How to Measure

1. Cut a narrow strip of paper approximately 5–10 mm wide. If using string, make sure it is thin and non-stretchy.

2. Wrap the paper or string around the finger where you will wear the ring.

3. It should fit snugly but not tightly. It should not dig into your skin, but there should also be no gap between the finger and the paper or string.

4. Mark the point where the paper or string meets its starting end.

5. Lay the paper or string flat and measure the distance from the starting point to the mark in millimeters. This measurement corresponds approximately to the circumference of your finger.

The result may vary because the paper or string can be tightened differently each time. If you use this method, measure several times and compare the results.

Tips for Accurate Measuring

For the most accurate ring size measurement, measure your finger at normal room temperature, ideally during the day. Finger size naturally changes and can vary by approximately 0.5–3 mm throughout the day as well as with temperature and seasonal changes. Fingers tend to be larger in warm weather and smaller in cold weather. Ring size may also differ between your left and right hand.
